As a member of this fine group of photographers I though it would be fun to do a weekly feature highlighting some of the new photographs from the group. Visit Etsy and search POE Team to see a full listing of photographs from the Photographers of Etsy.
So I felt it time to do an update on my shops and plans for The Shutterbug Eye.
I had the fun experience last weekend of being the Artfire Crazy Train rider. While on Artfire as a verified, or pro, member I have listed well over 200 photo items, promoted myself and others and yet I feel like I have created largely a gallery. My few sales have been mainly to friends, my page hits are not where I'd like them to be dispite trying to write good titles and such.
I am moving in the following directions:
Getting all of my best pieces categorized in galleries on my website.
Listing my favorite pieces on Etsy to maintain a limited best of selection there.
I plan to purchase a pro member on Flickr which is only $24 per year and put all my best pieces by category there.
I will continue to feature other artists on My Handmade Site though may change how I do things slightly
I will continue with my photo blog The Shutterbug Eye
I hope that limiting my focus, as I was trying to manage Artfire, Etsy and 1000 Markets, will make life less stressful, help me enjoy the process again and hopefully be successful. I will not shut any store, I simply do not plan to manage them anymore.
So my ride on the Artfire Crazy Train begins today. The Artfire Crazy train is a group of verified members who band together and promote each other. Each member of the Crazy Train gets 2 days where they "ride the train". On those days the other members will blog and tweet and promote the riders car.
If you look back, I have had an every other day feature on an Artfire member. They were crazy train riders. If you have a Verified account at Artfire you should check out the Crazy Train.
Check out the Forum Post to see what items others like in my shop. As the day goes on I will share links to other blogs or features I may find on myself over the next two days so this posting will evolve and grow. Check back to see what transpired on the Artfire Crazy Train. You can also visit my Artfire shop to see all my photos.
